• Limit your pare Usage
There are several ways to cut down much paper use like making hard copies of any documents only when necessary, reuse paper and make sure all printers and copiers are set up to print on both sides.
• Town down the use of air – conditioners / Heaters
Cooling/heating and powering offices are responsible for the fast – paced global warming and as an alternative think about solar shading to reduce the amount of heat from the sun that penetrates your office building.
• Eliminate Vending machine waste.
Coffee – making vending machines may save you from the coffee - making hassle but it’s not helping the environment due to its disposable plastic cups each time it makes a beverage. If you are the employer make sure that your machine allows everyone to use their own mugs or at least consider a machine that dispenses reusable cups.
• Monitor Lighting Usage.
Obviously, we cannot work without lighting; however we can do our best in cutting down the use of lighting by using compact fluorescent lamps. You could also replace old ones for better color so you can save at least 20percent of energy use and the most basic thing to do is to turn the lights when not in use.
Switching your office into a greener level is a wise green investment; it doesn’t just attend to the aesthetic part of your office but preserves human and environmental health as well.
